A hearing panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada has suspended the membership of Evergreen Capital Partners Inc., IIROC reported Wednesday.

Evergreen has ceased operations and IIROC is working with former staff of the firm to ensure clients have access to their accounts and for the orderly wind-down of the firm’s operations.

Evergreen informed IIROC last week that it intended to cease operations.

Evergreen was an employee-owned, full service brokerage firm serving institutional investors in Canada. It had offices in Toronto an Calgary.
