Rhonda Goldberg, former head of the Ontario Securities Commission’s (OSC) investment funds branch, headlines a trio of new members on the regulator’s Securities Advisory Committee (SAC) for the 2017-20 term.
Goldberg left the OSC in 2015 to become vice president, regulatory affairs at IGM Financial Inc. She is joined on the SAC by Jeff Meade, associate general counsel, head of legal for wealth management and insurance at Royal Bank of Canada, and Ron Schwass, partner and head of the structured finance group at Wildeboer Dellelce LLP, as new members on the committee.
The SAC, which is chaired by OSC general counsel James Sinclair, provides advice to the regulator on legislative and regulatory policy, trends in capital markets, among other things. The committee meets monthly and its members serve staggered, three-year terms.
