Kingston, Ont.-based Empire Life Insurance Co. has introduced a new online life insurance application with full underwriting to make it easier and faster for Canadians to apply for coverage.
The Fast & Full Life Insurance Application Process (Fast & Full Life App) is a web-based tool that advisors can use with their customers to apply for life insurance coverage.
Customers can know instantly, or in many cases within a few days, whether they have been approved for coverage making it extremely fast, with full underwriting. The app features an electronic life insurance application that is easy to follow, eliminates long paper forms and offers credit card and Interac as initial electronic payment options.
“We know there are many Canadians who don’t have enough life insurance. This new online application will make it faster and easier for them to apply for the insurance coverage they need, while benefitting from the expertise of an advisor,” says Sean Kilburn, senior vice president, Insurance.
“We think advisors will be very receptive to this new way of doing business,” says Kilburn. “They can meet in person, or on the phone, to review client protection needs and complete underwriting questions while looking at the same screens online. They don’t need to be in the same room or city anymore-everything can be done online and over the phone.”
