Mackenzie Investments says it is now an official sponsor of three-time Olympic downhill racer Manny Osborne-Paradis.

Osborne-Paradis has had an outstanding start to the season, placing second at the FIS World Cup race at Lake Louise in November. He next races on January 16 and 17 at the FIS World Cup in Wengen, Switzerland.

Osborne-Paradis will display the Mackenzie logo on his helmet as he races for the podium.

“Mackenzie Investments admires the determination and focus it takes to win, and we are so pleased to support Manny in his pursuit of excellence,” said Jeff Carney, president and CEO of Mackenzie Investments, said in a news release. “We are also proud to support Canadian snow sports, which are an integral part of our national identity.”

Snow Sports Sponsorship

The Mackenzie sponsorship of Osborne-Paradis is an extension of a long-term sponsorship of Snow Sports Canada that was announced in September. Mackenzie provides support to seven premier national snow sport organizations including Alpine Canada Alpin, Biathlon Canada, Canada Snowboard, Canadian Freestyle Ski Association, Cross Country Canada, Nordic Combined Canada and Ski Jumping Canada. Mackenzie is also building on its long history of supporting grassroots alpine skiing in its home province through a new five-year partnership with Alpine Ontario.

Mackenzie will be celebrating Osborne-Paradis and other Canadian snow sport champions on its new hub, PoweringPerformance.ca, for Canadians to follow snow sports athletes at home and abroad over the course of the winter.
