Invesco Canada Ltd. has announced the appointment of Rob Mikalachki as chief investment officer, which is effective immediately.

Mikalachki has nearly 20 years of industry experience. He joined Invesco Canada in 1999 as a small-cap investment analyst. In 2011, he was named head of small-cap equities. He is currently lead portfolio manager for the firm’s Trimark Global Small Companies Class and Trimark U.S. Small Companies Class funds, a role he will continue to hold.

“As a veteran portfolio manager with strong leadership skills, Rob is in an ideal position to provide investment leadership for Invesco as well as stewardship for the Trimark Investments team,” says Peter Intraligi, president, Invesco Canada.

Invesco Canada is also reporting there will not be a change to the roles of Michael Hatcher, head of global equities, Invesco Canada; Ian Hardacre, head of Canadian equities, Invesco Canada; and Jennifer Hartviksen, head of fixed-income investments, Invesco Canada. All three will report directly to Mikalachki.
