May 15 is the new deadline to submit nominations for Financial Planning Standards Council’s Fellow of FPSC distinction, which recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the profession of financial planning in Canada.

Fellow of FPSC recipients must fulfill both of the following criteria:

  • Volunteering or related activity with FPSC that is directly related to advancing FPSC’s purpose of instilling confidence in the financial planning profession and/or FPSC’s mandate and/or Vision 2020.
  • Advancement of CFP professional standards by leading or inspiring in the development, acceptance or adoption of the standards in order to further the public interest and enhance the reputation of CFP certification.

To submit a nomination for this distinction, please review the 2015 Fellow of FPSC Criteria and Guidelines and complete the Nomination, Application, and Acceptance Forms.

FPSC encourages nominees and nominators to work together to compile a complete submission.

Recipients of the Fellow of FPSC distinction will be honoured during Financial Planning Week at FPSC’s Celebration of the Profession Dinner, taking place November 17 at the Old Mill in Toronto.
