A respected industry veteran of nearly 25 years in the financial services and fintech sectors, Lynds’ experience is multifaceted and global. He comes to Picton Mahoney after having worked with international wealth management and technology firms of all sizes, most recently as Vice President of Global Wealth, Intellectual Property and Consulting at CGI. There, he managed a team spanning North America and Europe with whom he helped drive product development and oversaw business development activity while helping to incubate new technology capabilities on behalf of wealth management firms.

Giorje brings a wealth of direct experience to help make these connections and grow our business. In bringing these skills to Worldsource, Giorje joins Trish Nielsen, Vice President, Partnerships and Business Development, Western Canada, Richard Rizi, Senior Director, Investment Services and Pooja Wallia, Director, Partnerships and Business Development, in supporting independent Advisors across Canada.

Giorje joins Worldsource with over 20 years’ industry experience gained with leading dealerships. This authenticity has resulted in him successfully developing and implementing wealth management strategies and influencing distribution channels, including asset management, wholesale finance, online brokerage and digital investing. He strongly believes in the value of advice and enhancing the financial outcomes for clients across Canada.

His appointment complements and enhances the depth of the Worldsource leadership team furthering our position to develop and deliver solutions that advance the growth of the firm. Directly before joining Worldsource, Giorje held the role of VP, Partnerships and Business Development for a leading wealth management firm. He also served as the National Sales Manager for a Schedule 1 chartered bank. In this role, he led a team that was responsible for partnership and development efforts across various channels. Earlier in his career, Giorje held progressively senior roles with major Canadian financial services organizations.

Jordy W. Chilcott, President of Sun Life Global Investments, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Killeen as Head of Investment Distribution.

John is a seasoned sales executive with an extensive career in financial services. He joined Sun Life Global Investments in 2019 as National Sales Manager, Wealth Distribution. Before that, John held a series of increasingly senior roles at BMO Global Asset Management since 1994.

John has significant experience in distribution and sales strategy, as well as managing large sales teams to drive success. He possesses a strong background across e-wholesaling, training and sales enablement strategies. He is a firm believer in the value of advice and improving outcomes for clients across Canada.

In his new role, John’s mandate will expand to include responsibility across all of Sun Life Global Investments’ distribution businesses. John will also continue to lead the Sun Life Global Investments’ Wealth Distribution wholesaling team, managing relationships with retail financial advisors across Canada. In this, he will drive the plans and strategies for developing Sun Life Global Investments’ distribution business to achieve its sales growth goals, holistically, across all distribution channels.

John’s established track record of managing large, high-performing teams makes him a valued member of the Sun Life Global Investments team.

Jean-François Chalifoux, Chief Execu-tive Officer of SSQ Insurance has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA).

Founded in 1944, SSQ Insurance is now one of the largest insurance compa-nies in Canada, with $13 billion in assets under management.
Jean-François holds a bachelor’s de-gree in actuarial sciences from Laval University, is a Fellow of both the Cana-dian Institute of Actuaries and the Casu-alty Actuarial Society, and is a graduate of the Queen’s Executive Development Pro-gram. Prior to joining SSQ Insurance in 2015, he held several executive roles with major Canadian insurance companies.

The CLHIA is a voluntary association whose member companies account for 99 per cent of Canada’s life and health in-surance business. The industry provides a wide range of financial security prod-ucts such as life insurance, annuities (in-cluding RRSPs, RRIFs and pensions) and supplementary health insurance to al-most 29 million Canadians.
