Six funds to merge into other funds with similar mandates
The proposed mergers would streamline the lineup and retain certain tax efficiencies for the funds
Toronto-based CI Investments Inc. (CI) on Wednesday announced plans to merge six funds in order to reduce duplication and help simply its fund roster.
Units delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange
The pool invests in securities that tend to be less sensitive to changes in interest rates compared with other fixed-income securities
The fund will pay a final quarterly distribution of 20¢ per unit
Harbour Advisors will also take over as portfolio advisor to the CI funds that Tetrem Capital Management Ltd. subadvises
The asset-management firm can now participate in the RIA’s board and various committees
Cambridge Global Asset Management will now take on a greater role within CI, replacing Tetram Capital Management on several funds
CI Global Private Real Estate Fund will invest indirectly in units of CBRE Global Investment Partners Global Alpha Fund
