Toronto-based Connor Clark & Lunn Funds Inc. has launched three alternative mutual funds, known as “liquid alts.” CC&L Alternative Income Fund uses a flexible, long/short, absolute-return fixed-income strategy that seeks to deliver positive absolute returns over a market cycle by opportunistically investing in a diversified portfolio composed primarily of fixed-income securities. CC&L Alternative Canadian Equity Fund combines long exposure to Canadian equities with a global equities, market-neutral strategy that seeks to deliver higher return targets while maintaining a similar risk profile to long-only Canadian equity portfolios. CC&L Alternative Global Equity Fund combines long-position exposure to global equities with a global equities, market-neutral strategy that seeks to deliver higher return targets while maintaining a similar risk profile to long-only global equities portfolios. Each fund, available in A and F series, conforms to National Instrument 81-102. Management fees range are 1.45%-1.50% for Series A, and 0.45%-0.50% for Series F.
