RBC iShares, an alliance formed between Toronto-based RBC Global Asset Management Inc. and BlackRock Asset Management Canada Ltd., has launched a suite of sustainability-focused ETFs that will be managed by BlackRock.

The suite of ETFs includes four equity ETFs and two bond ETFs, which track indices that apply socially responsible investing screens.

These screens exclude securities of companies involved in tobacco, firearms and controversial weapons. Companies involved in “very severe business controversies” also are excluded, states a joint news release.

The ETFs are: iShares ESG MSCI Canada Index ETF (symbol: XESG); iShares ESG MSCI USA Index ETF (XSUS); iShares ESG MSCI EAFE Index ETF (XSEA); iShares ESG MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (XSEM); iShares ESG Canadian Aggregate Bond Index ETF (XSAB); and iShares ESG Canadian Short Term Bond Index ETF (XSTB).

The ETFs trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange and have management fees of 0.18%-0.35%.
