Toronto-based Vanguard Investments Canada Inc. has launched its first series of actively managed ETFs. This suite of funds consists of Vanguard Global Liquidity Factor ETF, Vanguard Global Minimum Volatility ETF, Vanguard Global Momentum Factor ETF and Vanguard Global Value Factor ETF. Vanguard Global Liquidity Factor ETF is meant to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation through investments in less liquid equities traded in global developed markets. Investors in Vanguard Global Minimum Volatility ETF should see reduced volatility compared with the global equities market through the fund’s investments in global developed and emerging markets. Vanguard Global Momentum Factor ETF seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation through investments in developed markets that have achieved strong recent performance. Finally, Vanguard Global Value Factor ETF’s objective is to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation by investing in equities based in developed markets that are priced low relative to the underlying share issuers’ fundamentals.
