Montreal-based National Bank Investments Inc. has announced a new portfolio manager for its NBI Canadian High Conviction Equity Private Portfolio. National Bank Trust Inc. now is the fund’s portfolio manager, with Phillips Hagar & North Investment Management (a division of Toronto-based RBC Global Asset Management Inc.) acting as subadvisor. Previously, Toronto-based Montrusco Bolton Investments Inc. was the fund’s portfolio manager. The fund’s investment objective – to provide long-term capital growth by investing primarily in Canadian equities selected by using a “high conviction” approach – remains unchanged. The fund may invest directly in equities or through investments in other mutual funds. Units are available through front-end sales only. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% initially; trailing commissions are 1%. Management fees are 1.45% for A-class units and 0.45% for F-class units. Minimum investment is $500.
