TSX CEO Barbara Stymiest today opened a new and bigger Montreal office at 1000 Sherbrooke West by saying “this is an exciting day for us and it is a wonderful new home for our Quebec headquarters.”
She added, “this is more than a place in which to conduct our business, it represents our commitment to our long-term future serving Quebecers and Quebec capital markets.” The office services Quebec-based issuers by offering a full array of corporate finance services for both the senior and junior markets.
Stymiest was joined at a ribbon cutting ceremony by Carmen Crépin, chair of the Quebec Securities Commission, and representing Finance Minister Pauline Marois, and Louise O’Sullivan-Boyne, Councillor representing the Mayor of Montréal Gérald Tremblay.
Fifteen TSX staff work out the Montreal office. Stymiest opened the TSX office in Vancouver office on Oct. 29, 2001.
