Venture Exchange Network, an interactive service for matching entrepreneurs with venture capitalists and private equity investors, has been launched today. Venture Exchange Network collects information from entrepreneurs and rigorously qualifies information by using its proprietary technology and by having analysts from KPMG perform a review.
Only companies that are designated as having high potential for funding based on the individual criteria that the VCs supply will be offered membership. Investors are made aware of a relevant proposal only if it meets their investment criteria and after a pre-qualifying review by the financial and business analysts from Venture Exchange Network. Investors cannot search the database and entrepreneurs cannot display their proposal to any investors directly. Confidentiality and security are constantly maintained on both sides.
VEN has more than 300 North American Venture Capital members already screened and on board, 225 companies seeking capital have applied for membership since February 15, and 40 applications totaling over $300 million in funding have met or exceeded the requirements to become members. As the only independent exchange for the private equity market, the confidential service helps entrepreneurs in a highly competitive arena obtain venture financing, while identifying the most attractive companies for investors.
