(February 25 – 17:45 ET) With three trading days to go in February, TSE all-time monthly trading records have already been eclipsed. The previous records, says the TSE were all recorded in January 2000. Here are the records:

>Number of Trades: 3 million (previous record 2.8 million)
>Shares traded: 4.5 billion (previous record 3.3 billion)
>Value: $73 billion (previous record $70.4 billion)

In 2000, the total is 7.9 billion shares worth $144 billion. The TSE 300 Index is up 9.55 percent this year to 9214. All figures are approximate and reflect trading up to
