On Monday, the U.S. Treasury Department releases its monthly budget statement for June. A deficit of US$62.8-billion is forecast.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Labour reports on the producer price index for June. Economists expect a monthly increase of 0.7%, and a year-over-year drop of 5.3%.
The U.S. Department of Commerce reports advance retail sales for June. A gain of 0.5% from the previous month is forecast.
Separately, Commerce reports on business inventories for May. A decline of 1% is forecast.
On Wednesday, U.S. Labour Department reports on the consumer price index in June. Economists expect a rise of 0.6% from the previous month, and a drop of 1.6% year-over-year.
The U.S. Federal Reserve Board reports on industrial production and capacity utilization in June. Industrial production is forecast to fall 0.6%, and the capacity utilization rate is forecast to be 67.9%.
On Thursday, U.S. Labour Department reports on initial jobless claims for the week ended July 18.
On Friday, the U.S. Commerce reports on building permits and housing starts for June. Economists forecast 520,000 permits on an annualized basis, and 525,000 starts, annualized.
