The flow of economic data doesn’t start until Wednesday when the U.S. Commerce Department releases new home sales figures for November.

On Thursday, the U.S. Conference Board releases its consumer confidence index for December.

As well, the U.S. National Association of Realtors releases existing home sales data for November.

The U.S. Department of Labor reports on initial jobless claims for the week ended Dec. 23.

On Friday, U.S. bond markets will close early in advance of the New Year’s holiday.
