A power failure in England disrupted the reporting of S&P/TSX Canadian indices yesterday.
The indices stalled at about 10:35 ET Monday morning. Standard and Poor’s, which administers the index, blamed a power outage at a Reuters data facility in London, England.
The outage at Reuters Dockland Technical Center affected a number of data feeds, including the updated numbers for the TSX indices, S&P said.
Official, end of day levels were provided at the usual times, after TSX markets closed.
Buying and selling of individual stocks was unaffected.
S&P said it expects that all real-time indices will be updating normally when markets open today.
