The TSE Investment Challenge is a free stock market investment game that gives novice investors a learning experience that mimics real life investing. Challenge entrants invest $100,000 of fantasy money, over an eight-week period. They can invest in TSE listed securities, CDNX listed securities, over the counter securities, Canadian mutual funds and options traded on the Montreal Exchange.
Jacques beat over 7,000 participants by turning his $100,000 into more than $293,000. This earned him a first place finish and a cash prize of $2000. Jacques primarily traded options to amass his enormous wealth. He emphasizes that options helped him win the Challenge. Jacques said, “in order to win, you sometimes have to take higher risks like trading options.”
