Air Canada today said the
courts have allowed suitor
Onex-AMR to call a special
shareholders’ meeting in November.

“The final date of a
shareholders’ meeting may also be
subject to the outcome of parallel
proceedings currently pending
before the Federal Court of Canada
and Quebec Superior Court to
determine the legality of the
Onex-AMR Offer,” the airline said
in a brief statement.,

Air Canada has recommended its
shareholders reject the hostile
takeover bid.
