(March 26 – 11:45 ET) – Nasdaq is expanding its decimalization program today, adding 177 companies to its 15 stock pilot program.
An additional 177 companies and 199 securities began quoting and trading in decimals on Nasdaq this morning. The exchange launched the project to introduce decimalization back on March 12, with 14 Nasdaq stocks and one OTCBB security.
The expanded trial brings decimal trading to Canada’s PMC-Sierra and Certicom Corp., along with such Nasdaq luminaries as Amazon.com, Oracle Corp. and Sun Microsystems Inc.
All Nasdaq securities will be fully converted to decimals by April 9.
