Canadian markets will open for trading tomorrow at the usual time.
After reviewing concerns that led to the closing of the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Canadian Venture Exchange, senior management at the TSE have decided that both markets will reopen in the usual manner on Thursday, September 13.
The TSE board of directors unanimously supports this decision.
The TSE states it “is satisfied that considerations that may have had an impact on the Exchange’s ability to guarantee an orderly market or the ability of all participants to engage in regular market activity have been accommodated effectively by all parties.”
The Bourse de Montréal Inc. also announced that all markets — equity, options and futures – will reopen tomorrow morning at their normal trading hours. http://www.newswire.ca/releases/September2001/12/c7050.html
