<i>Onex bid goes before airline’s security holders</i><br>
(October 8 – 13:00 ET) —
Canadian Airlines Corp. will
hold a meeting of its investors on
Nov. 8 to vote on the takeover bid
by Onex. Corp.
The meeting will be held at
14:00 MDT at the Sheraton Suites
Calgary.
The offer, by an Onex-owned
firm named Airline Industry
Revitalization Co., has been
approved and recommended by the
airline’s board. Onex wants to
acquire Canadian and Air Canada
and integrate the two airlines.
