The Quebec government has decided to defer tax installment remittance dates for small and medium enterprises. The announcement was made earlier today by Quebec Finance Minister and Deputy-Premier Pauline Marois.

The Canadian Federation of Independent Business is pleased about the announcment. “Small and medium-size business may now benefit from greater liquidity to help them face the present economic situation following disruptions that have affected exporters, in particular,” says Richard Fahey, CFIB VP for Quebec.

“It should be remembered that small business creates 80% of all new jobs. This helping hand has come just at the right time. The federal government should follow suit as quickly as possible” says Fahey.
