Winsted, a software development firm, is based in Mississauga, Ont.

While some fund companies have already begun to offer wireless access to their own account information, WGI Wireless raises the bar by providing complete real time portfolio status for all client accounts under management regardless of company of registration.

Reps and clients can access portfolio information from anywhere at anytime either through their PC or cell phone.

WGI Wireless is a component of the FundDealerNet application suite. FundDealerNet establishes the mutual fund dealer back office on the Internet using 128-bit encryption.

The software allows clients and reps to access the dealer’s Web site for access to portfolio statements, fund performance, asset allocation graphing capabilities and on line order entry with automated compliance validation.

Commentary provided by the rep and updated daily, provides a forum for direct client communication. Reps can also link with popular applications such as Scantech’s Eforms and Maximiser Contact Management software directly from the dealer Web site.

All client account enquiries can be addressed directly on the site, with current order and transaction status, RRSP contribution totals, assets under management, and complete transaction history reporting available on a 24/7 basis.
