Skylon Capital Corp., manager of VentureLink Group of Funds, has launched and is now accepting orders for the only labour sponsored investment fund with a 100% capital repayment option available to investors this RRSP season.
Previously announced in December 2001, the Brighter Future (Balanced) Fund has an investment focus on alternative energy, water and waste management companies, offers Ontario investors a 30% tax credit plus a 100% capital repayment option. This means that a minimum of their initial investment will be returned to them on or before Dec. 31, 2013 plus upside performance potential of its venture portfolio.
The Brighter Future (Equity) fund also focuses on alternative energy, water and waste management companies, provides a 35% tax credit to Ontario investors and diversifies its portfolio by investing up to 25% of the Fund’s capital in a Note linked to the S&P 500 Index to enhance performance potential.
Both Funds are managed by an investment team led by Susan Coleman, previously of Altamira Management Ltd.
VentureLink Brighter Future Funds will invest in companies developing products, services and technologies in infrastructure and “essential services” industries such as water, energy and waste management.
