TD Asset Management Inc. and the Toronto Stock Exchange will be hosting a listing ceremony tomorrow, January 16, to officially launch the first group of Canadian style-based exchange-traded funds.

The TD Select Canadian Value Index Fund and the TD Select Canadian Growth Index Fund, based on the Dow Jones Canada TopCap Value and Growth Indexes respectively, provide the benefits of both ETFs and style-based investing, says TD Asset Management.

ETFs offer the diversification of a mutual fund with the tradability of a stock. Style-based investing is a strategy that involves investing in companies that exhibit value characteristics or growth characteristics.

The listing ceremony is slated for 09:00 ET at the TSE, hosted by Rob MacLellan, chairman of TD Wealth Management, and Steve Geist, president TD Mutual Funds, along other officials from the TSE and Dow Jones.
