Charlie Baillie, chairman and CEO of TD Bank Financial Group and several other senior executives sat down with fellow employees of TD Bank Financial Group and TD Waterhouse to write the National Review today.
The annual exam is designed by TD to ensure that mutual fund representatives are up-to-date on investment products, services and trends in financial advice.
Over a period of three days, they will be joined by more than 11,000 TD employees from across Canada, who will also write the exam.
Now in its eighth year, the National Review is a two-hour exam that tests mutual fund representatives on their knowledge of financial planning, the markets, investment products and client advice.
All mutual fund representatives are required to write the TD-designed exam before they can advise customers or sell mutual funds. Employees are then required to write the exam on an annual basis.
“The National Review ensures that the highest standards and best practices in financial advice are being used within the bank,” said Baillie.
