(November 16 – 16:45) – Synergy Mutual Funds has added two foreign investment management firms to co-manage the Synergy Global Style Management Class. Launched in September 1998, the fund uses multiple managers to blend four investment styles in a single portfolio.

“We’ve attracted an international all-star line-up to the Synergy Global Style management team,” says Joe Canavan, president of Synergy Mutual Funds.

The fund boasts an international team of global investment style experts. Colorado-based Marsico Capital Management, LLC, manages the global growth portion of the fund. Marsico also manages other funds for Synergy.

Thornburg Investment Management Inc., based in New Mexico, manages the global value portion of the funds. The international small-cap portion of the fund is managed by Pictet International Management Inc. of London, England.

Peter Hodson of Synergy Mutual Funds will manage the North American small cap portion of the fund. Synergy’s Michael Mahoney manages the global momentum portion and continues as lead manager of the fund.

Synergy says its goal is to integrate Pictet and Thornburg into Synergy’s family of funds. The firms will also manage a portion of Synergy Canadian Small Cap Class and Synergy Canadian Value Class respectively.
