(May 16 – 11:20 ET) – StockHouse Media Corporation and Opus 2 Direct are joining forces to launch three world sector funds this fall. These funds, the first sponsored by a media company, will focus on health, energy and technology.

Investors will be able to purchase the funds online, beginning in September, through Opus 2 Direct’s web-based investment platform. The funds will be created with input from industry specialists,
StockHouse advisors, and ideas discussed on the StockHouse BullBoards.

Opus 2 Direct will build and design the mutual funds, which were inspired by the StockHouse indices, specifically for the StockHouse clientele and their web-based environment. The managers of the funds have not been identified.
