Montreal-based Standard Life Mutual Funds Ltd. Monday announced the launch of the Standard Life Global Real Estate Fund for retail investors.
The new fund brings investors increased portfolio diversification, exposure to growing global real estate markets and over 50 years of real estate expertise from global asset manager Standard Life Investments.
The fund invests primarily in the securities of real estate investment trusts and in equity or equity-type securities of companies that participate in the real estate industry.
Standard Life Investments Limited (UK), the sub-portfolio manager, has an experienced real estate team of over 120 investment professionals based in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. The fund will be managed by two co-managers: Svitlana Gubrily and William Pekowitz.
