Spectrum Investments is celebrating the one year anniversary of its successful Spectrum TACTONICS Fund. During its first year, this global equity fund has added 10.7% of value over its benchmark, the MSCI World Index.

“TACTONICS has generated impressive results. The fund is significantly outperforming the MSCI World Index during these volatile times,” says Karen Bleasby, vice president, investments and chief investment officer.

One year after inception, TACTONICS has rewarded investors with a 6.7% one-year return, while MSCI World Index has returned -4% over the same period. The fund is providing higher returns than most global equity funds, while maintaining a much lower risk profile.

The fund uses exchange-traded funds as its primary investment tool to trade swiftly and cost-effectively in winning sectors. The fund held all 14 best-performing ETFs within its universe for all or part of the year. As well, the fund successfully avoided the telecom, Japan and technology sectors, which have been among the worst performing sectors.

“TACTONICS is the fastest growing fund in the Spectrum family,” says Gary Corsi, president and CEO of Spectrum Investments

The fund is also available in a fully RRSP eligible version.
