Dennis Mitchell, executive vice-president and chief investment officer, Sentry Investments is now the portfolio manager of the Sentry Global Growth and Income Fund, the Toronto-based asset management company announced on Monday.

As well, Mitchell will act as the portfolio manager for the equity side of the Sentry Global Balanced Income Fund. The fixed-income portion of the fund will continue to be managed by James Dutkiewicz, vice president and senior portfolio manager, Sentry.

Neither fund will see a change in its objective or strategy as a result of the new management.

Dana Love, who managed the Global Growth and Income Fund previously, has left Sentry.

Founded in 1997, Sentry currently manages over $10 billion in assets.
