SEAMARK Asset Management Ltd. is reporting record earnings for the year ended Dec. 31, 2001.
Nearnings were $7.09 million, or 68¢ per share, in 2001, representing an increase of 48% over 2000. Net earnings in 2000 were $4.8 million, or 46¢ per share,
Cash earnings in 2001 were $7.15 million (68¢ per share), an increase of 48% over 2000.
SEAMARK’s liquidity remains strong, with $3.9 million in cash and short- term investments as of the end of 2001, compared to $4.23 million at the end of 2000. SEAMARK remains debt-free.
Total revenue in 2001 reached $16.56 million, an increase of 45% the $11.39 million achieved in 2000.
SEAMARK also announced that its first public Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders will be held at the Four Points Sheraton in Halifax at 14:00 AT on Friday, May 2.
