Schroder Investment Management North America Inc. will be the portfolio sub-advisor for the Sun Life Tradewinds Emerging Markets Fund, Toronto-based Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. announced on Tuesday.
Schroder will take on its sub-advisory role on August 29. As a result of this change, the fund will be renamed Sun Life Schroder Emerging Markets Fund and Tradewinds Global Investors LLC will cease to work as the sub-advisor.
The fund’s investment objective to seek capital appreciation through emerging market-based equity securities will remain the same. The funds investment strategies, however, will change to better reflect Schroder.
Schroder manages roughly $357.5 billion (as of June 30, 2013) and operates in 27 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.
