Fidelity Investments Canada Ltd. has redesigned its web-site to make key investing information even more accessible to advisors and investors.

The much enhanced Web site, www.fidelity.ca, now delivers more than 95% of the content with a single click. This faster, easier access makes it more convenient for anyone to use the site, and is designed to build on Fidelity’s national wireless service available to users of wireless devices including web-enabled cellular telephones and two-way pagers.

The redesign of site is the result of a number of focus groups with investment professionals and investors and incorporates many of the features they said they would find valuable.

“Providing so much information almost instantly is key to the convenience factor of ‘anywhere, anytime’ access,” said Christopher Blyth, director, Product & Business Development.

“The investment professionals and investors we talked to reinforced our belief in the beauty of simplicity. Our objective with this redesign is to provide them with the highest quality information delivered in the quickest, simplest way.”

The site features a new navigation system that allows users to access most of the content with just one click of the mouse. Users will no longer need to search through multiple menus to find the information they need.

As well, a new search engine enables users to research the information they need quickly and easily using simple keywords.

Users can choose the information stream that best describes them, whether they are an advisor or an investor. This will ensure that each time they visit the site, they’ll go directly to the information that is most relevant to them.

For advisors the redesigned site offers expanded client information. Advisors can now also create and print client statements for any desired period, and view and manage their clients’ pre-authorized chequing and systematic withdrawal plans online.

The site also boasts a simplified login process, and easier password management.

Finally, the site also has a new look. The legibility of all tables on the site has been improved, and the pages are displayed on a white background, with a cleaner look and feel, that makes the information easier to read. Each page is presented in a print-friendly format requiring no user intervention.
