(April 23 – 14:30 ET) – Fidelity Investments Canada Ltd. has expanded its national wireless web access service again, making more information available and on more wireless devices.
Launched in September 2000, the national wireless service makes a wide range of real-time information and services from www.fidelity.ca available to Canadian financial advisors and their clients anywhere, anytime, in both French and English.
The service now offers more information including market indices and price quotations for third-party mutual funds. Along with Fidelity account information and pricing, advisors and investors can also access fund activity data, NAVs and last NAV for 2,400 funds available to Canadian investors from 110 mutual fund companies. Nine market indices are now also available on the site, including major Canadian and international indices such as the TSE 300, Dow Jones, S&P 500, the Nikkei and the FTSE.
“The primary objective of this service is to provide Canadian financial advisors and their clients with the information they need, where and when they need it.” said John Lee, vice president, e-Business division of Fidelity Investments Canada. “That means providing information about the market in general, not just our own funds.”
The newly expanded Fidelity wireless offering is now also accessible on RIM (2-way pager) devices to subscribers of Bell Mobility. The service is already available to users of browser-enabled cellular telephones who subscribe to Bell Mobility, TELUS Mobility and Rogers/AT&T cellular services.
