(January 17 – 12:35 ET) – Ethical Funds Inc. has added four new “socially-screened” funds to its family of eight no-load Ethical Funds. The new lineup includes the Ethical Canadian Equity Fund, managed by Montreal-based Magna Vista and the Ethical Global Equity Fund, managed by New York-based Rockefeller & Co., Inc.

In addition, Ethical Funds will offer the Ethical RSP Global Equity Fund, a clone of the Fund managed by Rockefeller & Co., Inc. and the Ethical RSP North American Equity Fund, a clone of the top quartile performing Ethical North American Equity Fund, managed by Alliance Capital Management LP. The two clone funds will be 100% eligible for registered investments.

Ethical Funds bills itself as Canada’s oldest and largest family of socially responsible mutual funds, with $2.2 billion in assets and approximately 200,000 investors. Ethical Funds evaluates companies on the basis of social, ethical, and environmental as well as financial performance.
