(March 20 – 17:00 ET) – An advertising campaign on behalf of Ethical Funds Inc. was honoured at the B’Nai Brith Foundation’s 26th annual Media Human Rights Awards gala held in Toronto last night.

The “Do the right thing” campaign prepared was by Canadian-based advertising agency Glennie Stamnes Strategy to increase awareness of socially responsible investing options.

“We hold this award particularly close to our hearts because it demonstrates that we developed a powerful message for socially responsible investing,” said Bob Stamnes, partner, Glennie Stamnes Strategy.

B’nai Brith Canada selected the Ethical Funds campaign for its first-ever media human rights award for an advertising/public service announcement strategy.

“Canada’s credit unions are extremely pleased with this advertising campaign,” said Bill Knight, president and CEO of Credit Union Central of Canada. “We have communicated to Canadians that socially responsible investing is a reality in the market and not just a trend.”

“The family of Ethical Funds has become the preferred vehicle for Canadians who wish to invest their money in socially responsible companies,” added Knight.
