TD Asset Management Inc. Friday announced plans to terminate the TD Emerald Canadian Treasury Management – Financial Institution Fund.

TD will also close the Investor Class units of TD Emerald Canadian Treasury Management Fund, TD Emerald Canadian Treasury Management – Government of Canada Fund, and TD Emerald U.S. Dollar Treasury Management Fund.

Effective September 25, the Financial Institution Fund will cease offering units for purchase and the other Treasury Management Funds will cease offering Investor Class units for purchase.

On November 25, the Financial Institution Fund and the Investor Class of the other funds will be terminated.

Institutional Class Units of TD Emerald Canadian Treasury Management Fund, TD Emerald Canadian Treasury Management – Government of Canada Fund and TD Emerald U.S. Dollar Treasury Management Fund will continue to be available for purchase.

The decision to terminate the Financial Institution Fund and the Investor Class of the other funds is in response to reduced client demand, TD Asset Management said.

Unitholders may redeem or switch their holdings of the terminating fund or terminating class for settlement on or prior to November 25, the termination date.
