(January 22 – 17:40 ET) – C.I. Funds today announced the launch of www.cifunds.com, a new Web site packed with features and information for investors and advisors.
“Our new site offers detailed, current data on our funds, as well as a wide range of news and information about investing, personal finance and taxes,” said Peter Anderson, President of C.I. Mutual Funds Inc.
“Not only is cifunds.com a great source of information, but we are well on the way to making it the hub of all of our communications with investors, advisers and the public.”
The new site combines the best of the old site with a wide range of new features, including:
- a structure that’s easy to navigate;
- up-to-date information on all C.I. funds, including top holdings and sector and geographical allocations;
- Reuters business news stories and quotes on major global markets, updated throughout the day;
- more commentaries from C.I. portfolio managers, including audiovisual presentations and interviews about their funds.
In addition, C.I. has improved the website’s “My Account” function, which allows unitholders to view their current holdings and recent transactions through a secure link.
C.I. is also using the site to give advisers convenient access to eCISS, its new client information system. Advisors can now get copies of their clients’ statements and transaction confirmations through cifunds.com.
Soon, advisors will be able to view additional extensive current information about client accounts, as well as obtain statements and duplicate copies of tax receipts. In particular, dealer head offices that lack access to FundSERV will benefit from being able to view their clients’ C.I. accounts through the Web site. Internet access to eCISS has now been rolled out to nine advisor firms and will be expanded to all advisers this spring.
“This detailed account access is a great benefit for advisors, but it’s just one of the features we will be adding to the site in coming months,” Mr. Anderson said.
“The new site is the linchpin of our strategy to use the Internet to make it faster and easier for advisers and investors to get the information they find relevant and useful. Our goal is to make the Internet the primary channel for delivering all key information – including brochures, statements, confirmations, and annual reports and financial statements. The benefits will be substantial savings in time, money and paper.”
