(August 23 – 15:00 ET) – AIC Group of Funds has several portfolio management team appointments. Allan Brown, CFA is moving to become senior vice-president and portfolio manager. Geoff Barth, CFA is moving to senior vice-president and portfolio manager. Jayson Parker is becoming a senior investment analyst. Andrew Srichandra is becoming an investment analyst. These new members bring the AIC Portfolio Management Team to a total of 16 investment professionals.
The team of Allan Brown, Geoff Barth, Jayson Parker and Andrew Srichandra were recently with Investors Group Inc. and will be located in the Burlington, Ontario, head office of AIC Limited.
“We look forward to working closely with them,” says an AIC spokesman. “They will also take the lead in managing a number of new funds that we plan to launch later this year in the global science & technology, global medical discoveries and global new technologies sectors.” These new funds will complement the AIC Global Technology Fund launched in June 2000 and the soon to be launched AIC Global Telecommunications Fund and the AIC Global Health Care Fund.
