AFG today announced it has won a top award at the 2004 AsianInvestor 2004 Awards for Achievement for the best five-year performance worldwide for European equities.
The award recognizes the work of AGF International Advisors Co. Ltd. (AGFIA), a wholly owned money management subsidiary based in Dublin, Ireland.
“AGF has long been a leader in global investing and this international award recognizes that we really deliver on this commitment,” said Clive Coombs, executive VP, AGF, in a news release. “For nearly 10 years, the European equity team at AGFIA has been on the ground with a unique perspective bringing the world’s best expertise and performance to Canadian advisors and investors.”
Led by portfolio advisors John Arnold and Rory Flynn, AGFIA’s European equity team received acclaim earlier this year, ranking second worldwide in an independent survey by Mercer Investment Consulting of top-performing money managers. In the category of European equity, AGF was second over three years and fourth over five years. The survey was produced by Mercer’s for the U.K’s Financial Times.
For the third consecutive year, Arnold and Flynn won Best European Equity Fund at the 2003 Canadian Investment Awards for AGF European Equity Class.
