AGF International Advisors Company Limited has launched a new suite of offshore funds — initially for sale in the Japanese market.

Goldrings Group of Funds is AGF International Advisors Company Ltd.’s international offshore umbrella trust unit. “The launch of the Goldrings Group of Funds builds on our commitment to be a global company with a Canadian home,” said Blake Goldring, president and chief executive officer, AGF Management Ltd.

“This is part of our strategic vision to develop additional markets for our superior money management expertise.” The funds are now being offered for sale in Japan through selected distributors. In June, 2000, AGF became the first Canadian mutual fund company to open a branch office in Japan.

The Goldrings Group of Funds will not be offered for sale in Canada. The fund group is made up of five funds that cover major sectors and industries. It includes:
