AEGON Canada Inc. is expanding and renaming its Canadian mutual fund dealership, formerly operating as Money Concepts Group Capital Corp.

AEGON Canada acquired Money Concepts in August 2001 as part of its acquisition of National Financial Corp.

The expansion and re-naming, which takes effect immediately, involves the creation of a new company, AEGON Dealer Services Canada Inc., that will carry on the mutual fund dealer operations of Money Concepts Group Capital Corp.

AEGON Dealer Services will continue to provide fund dealership services to Money Concepts franchisees and their representatives, and will now offer the same services to Transamerica Life Canada’s 18,000 independent advisors across Canada. These dealership services are currently being rolled out to Transamerica Life Canada’s distribution partners and company brokerage offices.

AEGON Dealer Services is currently licensed in all Canadian provinces, with the exception of Quebec, Newfoundland, Yukon, The Northwest Territories and Nunavut. It has a license application pending in the province of Quebec.
