AGF Management has enhanced and renamed its wholly owned subsidiary AdminSource Inc. It is now Unisen Inc., a full-service, third-party administrative services company that will aggressively build on the momentum created by its predecessor company.
Blake Goldring, president and chief executive officer, AGF Management Ltd. has announced the appointment of Robert Smuk as president and chief executive officer of Unisen. Prior to his appointment, Smuk served as senior vice-president and chief information officer at AGF Management Ltd. Also appointed to the Unisen executive team are:
- Brian Gore, executive vice president and COO
- Ben MacInnis, executive vice president, Information Services & Business Development
- Edwin Wong, senior vice president and CFO
- Stuart Reynolds, VP, relationship management
The new company will be located in Mississauga. In 2003, AGF intends to migrate its transfer agency functions to Unisen. Meanwhile, AGF has acquired Jewelstone Systems Inc. This includes the purchase of Unitrax, Jewelstone’s shareholder record-keeping system. Unitrax is designed to manage fund products (mutual, segregated, hedge, labour-sponsored and pooled) as well as GICs and daily interest investments.
