Ruo Tan has joined Rogerscasey as managing director, investment counsel, effective November 11, the global investment solutions firm that serves institutional asset owners and financial services firms announced Wednesday.

Tan was most recently vice president, manager research and portfolio strategy at TD Wealth Management, where he led the effort to overhaul the TD Managed Asset Program and other fund of funds programs.

Before TD, Tan was managing director, investment management, and CIBC Wealth. He was a member of the executive team for CIBC Wealth and an officer of CIBC Asset Management Inc.

Prior to joining CIBC in 2002, he held a management position at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM). Before MLIM, he held a management position at SEI Investments where he was responsible for investment research and consulting as well as relationship and operational management.

Tan holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the MGD School of Business, McMaster University. He is a holder of the CFA Institute’s Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
