Highwater Capital Management Corp. has hired Mohsin Bashir as research analyst, the asset management firm said Tuesday.

Bashir joins Highwater from TD Securities where he worked as senior anaalyst covering preferred shares, convertible debentures, fixed income and structured products.

Bashir has also held positions at Sentry Select Capital and RBC Royal Bank.

Highwater is an asset management firm focused on achieving consistent absolute returns throughout various market conditions.

Highwater Diversified Opportunities Fund generated a return of 50% for the calendar year ended Dec. 31, 2009.
