Deutsche Bank today appointed David Fry as a managing director and head of global markets for Canada. He will join the bank this fall and be based in Toronto

Fry will be responsible for all debt products in the region and report to Paul Jurist, country head for Deutsche Bank in Canada, and Phil Weingord, head of Global Markets for the Americas.

Fry will be joining from ABN in London where he is an executive director and global mead of Local Markets Eurobonds. Prior to joining ABN, David spent nine years at Toronto Dominion Bank and was most recently head of government finance.

“David’s success in analyzing new market opportunities and his ability to formulate and execute profitable business strategies will be an asset as we build on our strong and diversified Global Markets platform in Canada,” said Jurist, in a release. “We are committed to being a leading global financial institution in Canada and will continue to expand our franchise in this important market.”

Fry earned an MBA from McGill University and a BA in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
