Investment industry veteran Donald Coxe is retiring from his role as global portfolio strategist for BMO Capital Markets and launching his own independent advisory firm, the bank announced on Tuesday.
Coxe’s last day with BMO will be Dec. 31, but he will retain a relationship with the bank going forward. Specifically, he will remain portfolio consultant to BMO’s Coxe Commodity Fund and will continue to provide insights to BMO Nesbitt Burns investment advisors and their clients during 2009 through his portfolio strategy journal and regular conference calls.
In the new year, Don will be establishing Coxe Advisors LLC, an independent advisory firm.
Coxe has led a career spanning four decades in institutional investing and money management, including his role as CEO and chief investment officer of Harris Investment Management Inc.
